Final Proposed Revision to the Directory for Public Worship
The Seventy-sixth General Assembly (2009) adopted the Final Proposed Revision to the Directory for the Public Worship of God and Proposed Amendments to the Form of Government. During the ensuing year these documents were ratified by a majority of the presbyteries. The Seventy-seventh General Assembly (2010) therefore declared the amendments to have been approved. By order of the Assembly they will take effect on January 1, 2011. The Seventy-sixth General Assembly also approved Suggested Forms for Particular Services and additions to the Suggested Forms for the Book of Discipline. These will be included in the next edition of the Book of Church Order, which will be published on January 1.
