Committee on Christian Education

The Committee on Christian Education (CCE) seeks to serve the church by providing Reformed resources and training in order to assist the OPC in bringing God's people to maturity in Christ. Fifteen men elected by the General Assembly (nine ministers and six ruling elders) serve on the CCE. The Rev. Danny E. Olinger serves as the general secretary. The stated objectives of the CCE are:

To help encourage, equip, and assist the members of the OPC to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as individuals, as families, and as congregations
To help encourage, equip, and assist ministers and prospective ministers of the gospel for faithful and effective ministry.
To help encourage, equip, and assist the officers and prospective officers of the church for the faithful and effective discharge of their responsibilities
To help encourage, equip, and assist the OPC to reach out to unbelievers with sound, biblically Reformed evangelism
To help encourage, equip, and assist the OPC to serve uninstructed and misinformed believers in the church catholic

Ministerial Training Institute of the OPC

The CCE operates the Ministerial Training Institute of the OPC (MTIOPC). Classes began in September 1999. Click here for more information.

Internship Program

A ministerial intern program is at the heart of faithful ministry (see 2 Tim. 2:2). The Committee on Christian Education assists the OPC in this vital ministry by recruiting and providing guidance to prospective ministerial interns and mentoring churches. Click here for more information.

Timothy Conference

The CCE, through its Subcommittee on Ministerial Training, sponsors the OPC Timothy Conference for a select few Orthodox Presbyterian young men. For further information, click here.

Great Commission Publications

The CCE oversees the work of Great Commission Publications in conjunction with our colleagues in the Presbyterian Church in America. To go to the GCP website, click here.

OPC Website

The CCE is responsible for developing and maintaining the official denominational website. This is carried out through the labors of the Subcommittee on Internet Ministries (SIM).
