April 15

Three Generations

On April 15, 2000, the Presbytery of Southern New York and Connecticut installed the Rev. Calvin Keller as pastor of Westminster OPC, Hamden, Connecticut. The son of OPC pastor, Rollin Keller, and the grandson of OPC pastor, Russell Piper, Mr. Keller holds the distinction of being the first third generation minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Piper participated in the installation service by praying for God's blessing on the union of pastor and congregation. Mr. Rollin Keller delivered the charge to his son as the new pastor. Other family members also participated in the service as the pastor's mother, Barbara Keller, and the pastor's daughter, Ariel, provided a piano-violin duet for the prelude.

In 2006, Calvin Keller accepted the call to serve as pastor of Cornerstone OPC, Chattanooga, TN, where he continually to serve until the present day.
