April 27 Today in OPC History

On April 27, 2003, Redeemer OPC in Charlotte, North Carolina, was a received as a particular congregation by the Presbytery of the Southeast. A daughter congregation of Matthews OPC in Matthews, North Carolina, the congregation called Mr. Cliff Blair as its organizing pastor. Mr. Blair had served as the summer intern at Matthews in the summers of 2001 and 2002 and had shown gifts for the gospel ministry. Shortly after Mr. Blair graduated from Greenville Theological Presbyterian Seminary, he was ordained and installed as pastor of Redeemer Church on June 13, 2003. From a beginning membership of 42, Redeemer Church has grown to over 100 members under Pastor Blair's ministry.
