Glenn Ferrell

On this date in 1987, J. Glenn Ferrell, pastor of First Orthodox Presbyterian Church in San Francisco, was ordained by the Word of Life Church in Morehead, Kentucky. Having graduated from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina, and attended Louisville Presbyterian Seminary from 1972-1974, Mr. Ferrell served with the Army Signal Corps in Southeast Asia. He would work in communications, information systems and as a community developer before resuming his seminary training at Fuller Seminary, where he earned an M.Div. in 1986. In 1988, he joined the Evangelical Presbyterian Church serving as a church planter in Kentucky.

Mr. Ferrell was received into the OPC in 2005 as pastor of Sovereign Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho. He has been pastor of First OPC since 2010.
