Update as of 10/05/24:

In response to reports regarding Hurricane Helene's impact on our sister churches, including the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP) and the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Disaster Response Subcommittee of the OPC Committee on Diaconal Ministries (CDM) has decided to establish a designated disaster response fund called: Hurricane Helene Fund.

As far as we know, we report, with abundant thanksgiving to the Lord for his mercies, that the OPC was largely spared from the direct impact of Hurricane Helene. This is both in the Presbytery of the South and the Presbytery of the Southeast. There have been countless downed trees and many are without power. Those needs are being addressed by church members within the region. That being said, we know that sister NAPARC churches have been affected. We are in the process of making inquiries with our sister denominations to find out how we can be of assistance. Updates will be posted to www.opcdisasterresponse.org and/or www.facebook.com/OPCDisasterResponse.
