We are convinced that the advantages of participating far outweigh those good reasons to stay home and may help ease any initial hesitation you might have.

OPC short-term missions’ trips have proven to play a significant role in furthering the awareness of foreign missions in our churches. God has used these trips to plant a seed in the hearts of many future missionaries. Over and over, short-term missions have catalyzed lifelong friendships and prayer partners. They have instilled a deep love for brothers and sisters in faraway places and cultures, and have proven to challenge and broaden the faith of their participants.

Sound good? Now is the time to commit! February 14 is the application deadline for some OPC Short-Term Missions trip. The current open fields are:

• Cross-Cultural Missions Training—May 17-June 14 (only a few spots left!)

• Boardwalk Chapel Summer Staff—June-August

• Team Japan—three weeks sometime June-August

• Team Uganda—June 21-July 19

• English for Kids (Quebec, Canada)—June 28 - July 4, 2025**

• Team Colombia—July 4-12*

• Team Hungary English Camp—July 14-20*

• Team Puerto Rico—date TBD*

• Team Praha (Czech Republic)—July 21-August 11***

• Childcare in Uganda—two to three months TBD

There really is something for everyone in short-term missions. Whether you are someone who loves working with children, teaching English, evangelizing, sharing your musical abilities, cooking or administrative skills, or you just love meeting new people, short-term missions gives you the chance to use your talents for something truly meaningful. These trips are all about putting faith into action while showing the love of Christ.
