Summer Short-Term Missions

Janet Birkmann

Now is the time to be thinking about summer short-term missions!

Be sure to visit OPCSTM.org and see the new layout and features that are designed to Help You Connect to Short-Term Missions!

Current Opportunities can now be found on a single-page layout that allows you to easily scroll through all the possibilities for service at a glance.

Other website features:

1. An orientation page for those who are New to Short- Term Missions.

2. A Roadmap for those who know they want to go, and are Ready to Plan a Trip!

3. Narrow your search for a short-term missions trip with the "Location" and "Ways to Serve" drop-down lists.

4. Click on each opportunity for Quick Facts, a Contact Person, and a description.

5. Read the full S.T.O.R.M. Report online, or print a bulletin insert or poster version.

6. The new STM Resources page offers a variety of planning, prep, and training materials for short-term missionaries.

Can your church use a team? We would like to challenge churches to consider creating a short-term missions opportunity! Is there a local outreach project, a VBS, a ministry program, building or landscaping improvements, that you could take on if you had the help of a team from another church or presbytery? If you Request a Team to help out at your church, you will be creating an opportunity for those who desire to use their gifts in short-term service this summer.
