But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute (Ps. 141:8).

Psalm 141:Devotional
Did you ever have an eye doctor describe the construction of the human eye to you? How wonderfully it is made? The eye enables us to see and to distinguish objects and colors near and far. Surely such a marvelously constructed member of our body should be used to the glory of God.
But there are eyes and eyes. Some eyes the Lord has opened, that they behold wondrous things out of his law, and some are spiritually blind. Some eyes are lifted up to God. Some lift up their eyes to idols. Some behold the beauty of the Lord, and there are some that have eyes full of adultery.
But there is nothing hid from the eyes of God. "He that formed the eye, shall He not see?" There is no creature that is not manifest in his sight. All things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness." Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. "The eyes of the wicked shall fail."
Prayer
O God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which Thou hast wrought in Christ, when Thou didst raise him from the dead, and settest him at Thy own right hand in glory. O God, may we belong to those that shall behold Christ face to face, behold him as He is. Amen.
