The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Ps. 24:1).

Psalm 24:Devotional
The earth is the Lord's. It is his by right, because He has made it. "He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods." He also created the sun, moon and stars. "Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their hosts by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power: not one faileth." "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmanent showeth his handiwork." "He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding." He also made the plants and living creatures on the earth, fishes and birds, beasts of the earth and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind. He tells us: "Every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine." Last of all, God created man. He created him "in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." "Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast."
Prayer
O Lord God, Creator of heaven and earth; Thou, Lord, art good to all, and Thy tender mercies are over all Thy works. All Thy works shall praise Thee, O Lord, and Thy saints shall bless Thee. They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy power: to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. We pray Thee help us to magnify Thy name. Amen.
