The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land (Psalm 10:16).

Psalm 110:Devotional
God is the King of all the earth. He is the King of kings. John saw him, who is called Faithful and True. "He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords." Paul calls him the "only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto." "Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations." He is great and greatly to be praised. The psalmist calls him, My King. He says, "God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth."
This great King, who is called the Lord of hosts, is worthy of all praise and adoration. The psalmist exhorts: "Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises to our King, sing praises." And again, "Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm . . . Make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King." And yet again: "Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King." May we say with Paul, and mean it from the depth of our heart: "Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."
O worship the King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing his power and his love ...
Thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer and Friend.
Prayer
O God, , look down upon us in mercy, we pray. We must deplore before Thee, that we are often so cold and indifferent towards Thee, when our hearts should be aglow with praise and adoration. Help us to remember Thy mighty deeds and wonderful works shown unto Thy people in times of old; but let us also be mindful of Thy goodness and mercies which Thou from day to day hast bestowed upon us, Thy unworthy children. Help us to rejoice in Thee, in Thy love and in Thy salvation. Graciously accept our imperfect thanks, praise and adoration, for Jesus' sake. Amen.
