But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. - Galatians 1:8,9

Galatians 1:1-10:Devotional
It was no matter of indifference to the apostle Paul that false teachers had come among the churches of Galatia to trouble them and pervert the Gospel of Christ. "But though we," he says, "or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
We, too, must not be indifferent to false brothers who seek to subvert the precious Gospel, the only Gospel, of the Lord Jesus Christ. There should be on our part no easy tolerance of false gospels, no pacifism in the struggle between truth and darkness. We, too, must consider it important that the Gospel of Christ - and only this Gospel - be preached in the churches. We must regard it as important that on this Lord's Day our souls be nourished by that Gospel. We must regard it as important that the Gospel of Christ - and only this Gospel - be sent to the ends of the earth.
