Hymn Chart Explanation

It has recently come to my attention that there may be some of us who are in need of some sort of piano accompaniment for worship but do not have a pianist. We use the “Worship with Hymns” accompaniment CDs when this is the case. The “Worship with Hymns” CDs is a four volume set with one hundred hymns from the Trinity Hymnal. It was created by the Trinity Book Service, the book ministry of Al Martin. The CDs are for the Baptist version of the Trinity Hymnal but will work with our versions (both the blue and red).

You can contact the Trinity Book Service at 800/722-3584 or on the web at www.trinitybookservice.org. The CDs sell for about $13.00 for each two-volume set. We at Geneva OPC have created a database so that we have a list of all the hymns in the red Trinity Hymnal that can be used with these CDs. This takes the 100 hymns and expands it to 202 hymns (various hymns use the same tune). I can e-mail this database to anyone who is interested.

Hopefully this might be of some help to those who do not have a pianist and must sing a capella. It can also be a good resource for family worship if you don’t know how to play the piano.
