Jim Heemstra

On October 24, 1997, the Presbytery of the South honored regional home missionary Jim Heemstra for his ten years of church planting labor in the presbytery. The Rev. Larry Mininger presented Mr. Heemstra with a cake thanking him for his service. The Presbytery also passed the following resolution:

Exactly ten years ago today the Presbytery of the South called James A. Heemstra as its regional home missionary. Since that time, in God's good providence, there has been significant grown within our presbytery, due in great part to the labors of Jim and his wife Sandy. The Heemstras have played a role in the establishment or encouragement of fourteen churches in eight states. We thank God for Jim and Sandy's persistent and sacrificial labors both within our presbytery and even beyond our borders. May God graciously grant Jim and Sandy health and strength to continue to "ring the bell" for church planting.
