March 5 Today in OPC History

On Friday evening, March 5, 1948, Meredith G. Kline was ordained and installed as pastor of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, New Jersey. Edward Heerema, moderator of the Presbytery of New Jersey, asked Mr. Kline the constituting questions. John Murray preached the ordination sermon and Edward J. Young delivered the charge to Mr. Kline. Leslie Dunn charged the congregation and Lewis Grotenhuis offered prayer. At 9:20 p.m., the newly ordinated Mr. Kline pronounced the benediction.
