Carl J. Reitsma

On this date in 1955, Carl Reitsma was ordained and installed as pastor of Immanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church, West Collingswood, New Jersey. Theodore Georgian, moderator of the Presbytery of New Jersey, conducted the service. Edmund Clowney preached, Cornelius Van Til charged Mr. Reitsma, and Albert Edwards charged the congregation. Everett DeVelde and LeRoy Oliver also participated in the service.

Mr. Reitsma would serve as pastor of Immanuel Church until 1961 when he accepted a call to serve as pastor of Calvary OPC, Cedar Grove, WI. He would also pastor in the Reformed Church of New Zealand and in the Christian Reformed Church, and serve as a Bible teacher at Timothy Christian School in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Carl Reitsma died and went go to be with the Lord in glory on January 7, 2018.
