July 9

Faith OPC, Garland, Texas

On July 9, 2004, Faith Presbyterian Church in Garland, Texas, became an organized congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Chad Bond was installed as pastor. Messrs. John Emmett, Joseph Hammond, and Andrew Moody were installed as ruling elders, and Messrs. George Osborne and James Pray as deacons. A few years earlier Mr. Osborne and his wife, Jo, Mr. Emmett and his wife, Naomi, and Debbie McKenna and her family began working with Presbytery of the Southwest Regional Home Missionary Gary Davenport about planting an OP congregation in northeast Dallas.

Fourteen years later, Pastor Bond and Ruling Elder Emmett continue in their faithful service to Faith Church. Mr. Moody in 2006 was ordained to the gospel ministry in the OPC and currently serves as pastor of San Antonio Reformed Church.
