May 2 Today in OPC History

On May 2, 1948, the Committee on Foreign Missions submitted to the Fifteenth General Assembly a glowing report of the missionary activities of the Rev. Bruce F. Hunt in Korea. The Committee praised Mr. Hunt's evangelistic work and teaching at the Korea Theological Seminary in Pusan as being of an outstanding nature. It noted that missionaries of other denominations have termed Mr. Hunt the leading missionary in the Orient today as large crowds gather to hear him preach and teach.

The Committee also reported that due to the arduous nature of Mr. Hunt's labors rest must be provided for Mr. Hunt. The Committee also stated that it was working on Mr. Hunt being reunited with his family either in Korea or in the United States in the coming year.
