June 5 Today in OPC History

On this day in 1954, Larry and Lois Pflaumer Sibley were married. They were known for their warm hospitality over the years to countless Orthodox Presbyterians and to students and friends of Westminster Seminary.

A graduate of Gordon College in 1955 and Westminster Seminary in 1959, Larry was ordained to the gospel ministry in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church on November 4, 1959 and installed as pastor of the OPC at Lisbon, New York. In 1963 he became pastor of Calvary OPC, Glenside and served four years before accepting a position with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. In 1984 he joined the staff of Westminster Seminary, serving the institution in the Practical Theology department, as Director of Public Relations and Chaplain.
