September 21 Today in OPC History

On the Lord's Day of September 21, 2003, the members of Cornerstone Reformed Church in Germantown, Maryland, met for worship in the backyard of their pastor, Jim Stastny. The group ordinarily met for worship at the Lake Seneca Elementary School, but the school building was closed due to damage inflicted by Hurricane Isobel. The Rev. Dr. Bryan Estelle, a ministerial member of the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic, was the guest preacher. During the sermon, Mr. Estelle had the unique challenge of competing with the roars of chainsaws echoing throughout the neighborhood.
