On February 23, 1970, Sharon OPC, Hialeah, FL hosted the start of a four day evangelistic conference. Designed for ministers and other church leaders, it followed the theme of "The Gospel in the Seventies." Westminster Seminary professors and OPC ministers Edmund Clowney and C. John Miller delivered the main addresses. Clowney lectured on the topic of "Preaching Christ from the Old Testament.” Miller dealt with "Evangelism and the Youth Revolt" in a combined effort to help pastors in their concern for evangelism in our contemporary culture.
Mr. Theodore Pappas of the Keyes Company of Miami and Mr. Robert den Dulk, director of administration at Westminster Seminary talked about principles and problems of church management. Mr. Ernest Reisinger, Carlisle, Pennsylvania businessman, gave a laymen's look at the pulpit.
