Melvin Nonhof

On December 14, 1911, Melvin Nonhof was born in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. After graduating from the Mission House College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Mr. Nonhof attended Westminster Theological Seminary and graduated in 1939. The next year Mr. Nonhof was ordained by the Presbytery of Wisconsin before being installed as pastor of Westminster OPC in Hamill, South Dakota. The next 18 years he would also serve in South Dakota as pastor of the congregations in Bancroft, Manchester and Yale. In 1958, he transferred to the Reformed Church in the US to accept a call to Ebenezer Church in Shafter, California. He also served as editor of the Reformed Herald during this time. In 1965 he returned to the OPC as pastor of Westminster OPC, Santa Cruz, California. He retired in 1976, and on August 13, 1986, he went to be with the Lord in glory.
