July 21 Today in OPC History

Newly appointed Orthodox Presbyterian missionaries Young and Mary Lou Son arrived in Korea on July 21, 1977 with their six children, Elizabeth, Sarah, David, Jennifer, Megan, and Andrew. For the next twenty-three years, Mr. Son labored as an an evangelist. He conducted Bible conferences in churches and took an active part in young people’s work. He also served as Director and Professor at the Missionary Training Institute of the Presbyterian General Assembly in Seoul, South Korea. After his retirement from the mission field in 2000, Mr. Son accepted a call in 2005 to serve as the pastor of Murdock Memorial OPC in Bancroft, South Dakota.
