On December 22, 1973, Orthodox Presbyterian missionaries Egbert and Betty Andrews arrived in the United States to spend a year on furlough from their service in Taiwan. During the next twelve months they spoke in person at 78 of the then 126 churches in the OPC. Mr. Andrews would finish the year giving 187 talks and Mrs. Andrews 45 talks. During his free time, Mr. Andrews also engaged in a research study.
