May 29 Today in OPC History

Twenty years ago today, David M. VanDrunen was appointed to the Robert B. Strimple Chair of Systematic Theology at Westminster Seminary in Escondido, California. A graduate of Calvin College, Westminster Seminary California, Northwestern School of Law, and Loyola University, Mr. VanDrunen was ordained as an Orthodox Presbyterian minister on October 1, 1999, and installed as Associate Pastor of Grace OPC, Hanover Park, IL. Mr. VanDrunen is the author or editor of thirteen books, including Politics after Christendom: Political Theology in a Fractured World (Zondervan Academic, 2020), named Book of the Year (2021) in Politics and Public Life by Christianity Today.
