At the August 25, 1936, meeting of the Presbytery of Philadelphia, the presbytery received into its membership the Reverends Egbert Andrews, Henry Coray, and Edward Young. The Lord would use these three men for over 117 years of combined service in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Andrews would serve 43 years as an OPC foreign missionary in Manchuria and Taiwan. Coray would serve 42 years, first as an OPC foreign missionary in China and then from 1940 forward as a pastor serving the congregations in Long Beach, Sunnyvale, and Goleta in California, and in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Young would serve 32 years as professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary.
