On August 27, 1980, OPC missionaries Robert and Shirley Marshall and their children had arrived back in Taiwan after completing a four-month furlough in the United States. Prior to the furlough, the Marshalls lived in Hsinchu where Mr. Marshall worked with the Reformed Presbyterian Church. After the furlough, the Marshalls relocated to Kaohsiung as Mr. Marshall conducted evangelistic outreach and helped two Reformed Presbyterian congregations. The Marshalls would continue serving in Taiwan until 1988 when the mission was closed.
