September 25 Today in OPC History

David and Sunshine (Wynott) Okken were married on this day in 1999. Two years after their marriage, the Presbytery of Southern California ordained David to the gospel ministry in the OPC for foreign missionary service in Karamoja, Uganda. The Okkens would serve in Uganda for seventeen years before David accepted a call to serve as a pastor at Shiloh OPC in Raleigh, North Carolina.
