December 2 Today in OPC History

On December 2, 2011, Jeremiah Montgomery was ordained and installed as an evangelist of Westminster OPC in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, to labor in State College, Pennsylvania. The Lord blessed Mr. Montgomery and the core group at State College, and in 2014 Resurrection OPC was organized as a particular congregation in the OPC with Mr. Montgomery serving as the organizing pastor. In 2017, Mr. Montgomery accepted a called to serve as an OPC missionary to Asia, but due to family health reasons had to return to America in 2019, where he accepted a call to Covenant OPC in Vandelia, Ohio. This past September 29, 2023, Mr. Montgomery was installed as General Secretary of the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension.
