January 22 Today in OPC History

On January 22, 2012, the Rev. James T. Lim was installed by the Presbytery of Southern California as the seventh pastor of Faith OPC in Long Beach, California. The Rev. John V. Fesko served as moderator asking Mr. Lim the constitutional questions and leading in prayer. The Rev. Larry Mininger, pastor of Lake Sherwood OPC in Lake Sherwood, Florida, preached on the topic, "Jeremiah's Call and Your Call." Retiring Faith OPC pastor Daniel Overduin delivered the charge to the congregation and the Rev. Rollin Keller delivered the charge to Mr. Lim. Members of the Faith OPC session Mike Dempsey, Bill Gekler, Skip MacLean, Mike Lynch, Dick Vincent, and Eric Kooi received Pastor Lim warmly and welcomed him to service with them.
