May 25 Today in OPC History

On May 25, 2012, the Rev. Andrew Moody was installed as an evangelist of the Presbytery of the Southwest to serve as the organizing pastor of San Antonio Reformed Church (OPC) in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Moody was ordained to gospel ministry in the OPC in 2006 to serve as Associate Pastor of Christ Covenant OPC in Amarillo, Texas. He had been praying for the Lord to open doors in the northeastern section of San Antonio. He started a Bible study and as the group grew to twenty members, the Presbytery gave permission to start public worship. With an influx of visitors, attendance at worship services grew to over forty persons. Now, San Antonio Reformed Church is a particular congregation in the OPC and Mr. Moody continues to serve faithfully as pastor.
