On June 14, 1947, the Reverends Eugene Bradford and Leslie W. Sloat opened the 1947 Summer Season of the Boardwalk Gospel Pavilion in Wildwood, New Jersey. Orthodox Presbyterian families were urged to come to Wildwood for their vacation. A Children's Bible Hour was daily in July and August from 10 to 11:30 A.M. Promised for the nightly worship services between 8 P.M. and 10:30 PM were evangelistic messages, lively singing, special music, and religious pictures.
