On this day in 1995, William D. Dennison was ordained as a gospel minister by the Presbytery of the South and installed as a teacher in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The installation took place at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Columbia, Tennessee. The Rev. Mark Smith, pastor of Covenant Church, served as the moderator. The Rev. Charles G. Dennison, William's older brother and pastor of Grace OPC in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, delivered the charge stressing the heavenly content of the church's instruction. The Rev. Dr. Henry Krabbendam preached the sermon urging Mr. Dennison to remember that we preach not ourselves, but Christ and him crucified.
After twenty-seven years teaching at Covenant Covenant, Mr. Dennison retired in May 2020 and accepted a pastoral call to Emmanuel OPC in Kent, Washington. He was installed as pastor on July 30, 2020.
