October 5 Today in OPC History

On Wednesday evening of October 6, 1955, the Rev. Glenn Coie was installed as pastor of First Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Long Beach, California. The Rev. James Moore, moderator of the Presbytery of California, conducted the installation service. The Rev. H. Wilson Albright preached the sermon. The Rev. Robert Nicholas charged the pastor and the Rev. Dwight Poundstone charged the congregation. Ten days later on the Lord's Day evening of October 16, First OPC began its Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Machen League, a College Fellowship and Adult Fellowship Forum.
