On October 18, 1968, the Presbytery of Wisconsin ordained Donald Duff to the gospel ministry in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The son of Clarence and Dorothy Duff, OPC missionaries to Eritrea, Mr. Duff pastored Bethel OPC, Grand Junction, CO (1971–78), Bonita OPC, Bonita, CA (1978–80), and Covenant of Grace OPC, Oxnard, CA (1981–92).
On a denominational level, Mr. Duff served on the Committee on Revisions to the Book of Discipline and the Directory of Worship from 1974–1988. He was also a member of the Committee on Foreign Missions from 1974-2004. In 1989 at the Fifty-Sixth General Assembly meeting at Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, he was elected moderator.
In 1992, Mr. Duff was appointed as Stated Clerk of the General Assembly and served faithfully until his retirement as clerk in 2010. In retirement living in Beaver Falls with his wife Peggy, Mr. Duff has remained active on the presbytery level as he currently serves as the stated clerk of the Presbytery of Ohio.
