October 25 Today in OPC History

The opening day of the second annual Cedar Bluff Retreat took place on October 25, 1992 at Cedar Bluff Camp near Coffyville, Kansas. Women from six Orthodox Presbyterian congregations in five different states and representing the Presbyteries of the Southwest and the Dakotas participated. Mrs. Kathy Abbott, a member of the Caney OPC, Caney, Kansas, organized the event. Mrs. JoAnn Vanderburg, a member of Bethel OPC, Carson, North Dakota, was the featured speaker. Mrs. Vanderburg spoke on the topics, "Why Are We Here?" and "What is a Christian Woman?"
