October 14 Today in OPC History

On this date in 1929, Levon Malkonian was born in Larnaca, Cypress. Following his graduation from Bob Jones University, Levon began working for the Navigators in India. There he met and married Ellen Bartholdy. When the Malkonians returned to the United States, they joined Grace OPC, Modesto, California where Levon was ordained and installed as a ruling elder.

In addition to Grace OPC, Levon would serve on the session of New Covenant OPC, South San Francisco, and help with the oversight of mission works in Eureka and Roseville, California. He was also active in the Presbytery of Northern California and Nevada as the chairman of the Foreign Missions Committee.

In retirement, Levon and Ellen moved to Denver where they became members of Park Hill OPC. On August 20, 2014, Levon went to be with the Lord in glory.
