March 25 Today in OPC History

On March 25, 2006, the session of Knox OPC in Silver Spring, Maryland, gave praise to God in recognition of Newman deHaas's fifty years of service as a ruling elder in the congregation. At the celebration, held at Columbia Presbyterian, Newman and his wife, Betty, were presented with a book where members had compiled their memories and also with a commemorative DVD. The service was followed by a meal in which friends brought their greetings and thankfulness for Newman's faithful service and witness to Christ through the years.
