January 2 Today in OPC History

On furlough from his work in China, OPC missionary Rev. Egbert W. Andrews was the guest speaker at Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, Wisconsin on the Lord’s Day of January 2, 1949. The next night, members and friends of the congregation gathered to hear Mr. Andrews speak about the gospel work going on in China, during a slide presentation.

In addition to Mr. Andrew’s visit, there were numerous other activities taking place at Bethel Church that week. On Wednesday night, nearly 30 high school aged young people were participating in a catechism class. On Saturday morning, nearly 50 children in the elementary and middle school ages were taking part in their catechism class at the church building.
