October 4 Today in OPC History

On October 4, 2003, the Presbytery of Northern California held its eighth biannual Foreign Missions Conference at Grace OPC, Modesto, California. Over one hundred people were in attendance to hear guest speakers Ben Westerveld and Eric Kayayan talk on the theme of “The Changing Face of Missions” with a focus upon the French-speaking world. Mr. Westerveld, an evangelist of the Reformed Church of Quebec whose work is supported by the OPC’s Quebec Project, testified to the challenges of making disciples of all nations. Mr. Kayayan talked about the French radio and literature ministry that he conducted in South Africa.
