On Saturday, September 28, 1968, Pastor Robert Valentine and the members of the Orthodox Presbyterian Chapel of Greeneville, Tennessee, were assisted in outreach to the community. Pastor Elmer Dortzbach of Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and Redeemer members Barton Campbell, Roy Diefenthaler, Robert Morris and Ed Bouker traveled the 280 miles to Greeneville to help make calls. Breaking up into visitation of twos, they made 264 calls before stopping at 4:00 p.m.
In the Greeneville community, the visitors from Atlanta were greeted in a friendly manner. Some knew of the OPC chapel. Others were familiar with Mr. Valentine's weekly radio program, "Truth for Life." Some said they would visit the chapel.
In 1975 Mr. Valentine and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Greeneville would transfer to the Presbyterian Church in America.
