On this date in 1980, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Missoula, Montana was received as a particular congregation of the Presbytery of the Northwest. Four years earlier, the group had been received as mission work and had begun worship services with the Rev. Harold Kellam. Harold "Mac" McKenzie, a Christian school teacher in Missoula and former pastor in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, filled the pulpit after Mr. Kellam left in 1979. On May 18, 1984, Mr. McKenzie was ordained and installed as pastor of Cornerstone Church.
In 1989, the Rev. Ronald McKenzie became pastor of Cornerstone Church. In 1997, the congregation choose a new name, Garden City OPC. After twenty-one years of ministry in 2010, Pastor McKenzie retired and the congregation was dissolved.
