February 20 Today in OPC History

At a meeting of the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church held on February 20, 1978, the Committee overtured the 45th General Assembly to erect a special committee of five to recommend to the 46th General Assembly a concrete proposal for a monthly publication. The publication would serve the interests of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, specifically those of the Committees on Christian Education, Home and Foreign Missions, Stewardship and Diaconal Ministries. It would also include news from the churches, presbyteries and General Assembly. The Committee recommended that the publication start on January 1, 1980.
