May 5 Today in OPC History

On the Friday evening of May 5, 2000, the Presbytery of Northern California ordained and installed the Rev. Mark E. Richline as an evangelist to serve Sovereign Grace Community OPC in Hughson, California. It was an eventful twenty-four hours for Mr. Richline. Nine hours after his installation, his wife, Jeni, gave birth to their son, Joshua Mark. In the Lord's perfect timing, Mrs. Richline went into labor less than two hours after the installation service had been completed. The Richlines would serve at Sovereign Grace Church until 2011 when Mark accepted a call to serve as an OPC foreign missionary to Uruguay.
