Reformed Ecumenical Synod

2023

On February 8, 1965, the Thirty-Second General Assembly of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church received a letter from Paul Schrotenboer, secretary of the Reformed Ecumenical Synod (RES), regarding the OPC's membership dues. Mr. Schrotenboer stated that the OPC had been assessed five percent of the annual budget of $11,000 and was accordingly asked to pay $550. The Assembly appointed John Galbraith as the OPC's missions correspondent to the RES and Robert Nicholas as the news correspondent to the RES. The OPC would remain members of the RES until 1990.
