On this date in 1968, the Rev. Henry Krabbendam was received into the Orthodox Presbyterian Church by the Presbytery of Wisconsin. Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Mr. Krabbendam graduated from Kampen University with a B.A. in 1959 and from Westminster Seminary with a Th.M. in 1962. While working on his Ph.D. at Westminster, he accepted a call in 1968 to serve as pastor of First OPC, Sunnyvale, California. In 1973 Mr. Krabbendam accepted an invitation to teach as a Professor of Biblical Studies at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. For the next thirty-two years, Mr. Krabbendam taught at Covenant College before his 2005 retirement.
