Bill Hobbs

On March 6, 1992, the Rev. William M. Hobbs was received by the Presbytery of the South and installed as pastor of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, Florida. After receiving a BA from Davidson College in 1972 and a MA from the University of Virginia in 1974, he married Ann Holland on May 25, 1974. Mr. Hobbs worked as a management analyst and area manager in North Carolina before accepting the position of Logistics Coordinator in Kananga, Zaire (now Republic of Congo) for the Presbyterian Church in the US. He then attended Gordon Conwell Seminary and after his graduation was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in the USA serving as pastor in Wise, Virginia, and Pound, Virginia before accepting the call to Calvary Church.

On September 17, 1995, Ann went to be with the Lord in glory after a long bout with cancer. Mr. Hobbs married Mimi Daigle on October 19, 1996. After twenty-four years of pastoral ministry at Calvary Church, Mr. Hobbs retired in 2016. In retirement, he serves as Associate Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, St. Augustine, Florida.
